Now, the Asus firmware is running very well and all the bugs have been fixed. It's also being released for free tomorrow. I have been using this firmware for over a day now, and I just want to give you a short overview about it. This is the start page, showing information about the router's uptime, CPU usage, memory, and your LAN connection. It supports both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. The speed information I'm seeing is only up to 27 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and 108 Mbps on the 5 GHz band. However, when I tested it with speed tests, I usually only use the 5 GHz frequency band, and the speed is about 100 Mbps. It's about 10 Mbps slower than the stock firmware, but it's not noticeable. I also switched the 5 GHz band to "N-only" and 40 MHz. I'm not using the 2.4 GHz band because there are about 38 other wireless networks available in my flat. I think only my webcam and mobile device are connected to the 2.4 GHz band, while all the laptops are connected to the 5 GHz band, just like my wireless media bridge. Now back to the firmware.
