Instructions and Help about Dd 1750

True" hi gang. One of the things I've always liked about OmniFocus is the way when you save an email to a task, it creates a link to that email. So, you can always jump straight back to that email without having to search for it. I've wanted that functionality across all my Mac applications. And with a little help from a listener, I've now got that via AppleScript. First, let me show you how it works, and then let's build it together. So, here I am in Apple Mail, and I've got a selected message. Even when I leave the app, you can see that the message is still selected. It's great! I can just go into any application on my Mac that can accept a link, and then I just type a link shortcut, "yoink." It uses TextExpander to drop in an AppleScript-created link to that message. If I go ahead and close this out and then come back to this message later, I can simply click on that link and it will open up the message in Apple Mail for me. This is super useful. I use it in notes applications like Apple Notes or Bear. I use it in all my calendar applications like Fantastical or Apple Calendar. Anytime I want to get back to an email or use an email as a source for something else I'm doing on my Mac, I just type a link and drop in a link to that Apple Mail message. So, I have no trouble getting back to it. Now, let me show you how to build it. This is the AppleScript text. I have posted it on the accompanying post, which is in the notes below this video. You can go to my website and download the text...
