At some point in everybody's lives, we need to know how to write an email to a teacher, a friend, or maybe even a family member across the world. Today, we will learn how to compose an email specifically to your professor and what to include. As an overview, there are four major points to remember when writing an email. The first point is when starting an email, make sure you address your professor. For example, you can say "Dear Professor" or "Good morning/afternoon/evening". The second point is to introduce yourself. Make sure to include your first and last name, as well as what class you're in, so your professor can easily identify who you are. The third point is the subject of your email. Clearly state the reason for your email. The fourth point is ending an email. At the end of your email, it is important to thank your professor for taking the time to respond to your questions. Now let's get started. After I've logged into my Blackboard account, I clicked on "Courses" to take me to my courses for the semester. The next thing I want to do is find the course that my professor is in that I want to email. In this case, I want to email Professor Smith in my World Civilizations class.
