True, um, I will hand it over to Nikki. Well, um, hello everybody. Um, I usually try to start with my camera on, but I've been struggling a lot with Zoom lately. So, um, my name is Nikki Aiden and I am the North Dakota Rent Help Program Administrator with the Department of Human Services. I really appreciate everybody taking the time to learn a little bit more about North Dakota Rent Help. Um, generally, I try not to take too much time when I'm in on my slides and leave a lot of time for questions at the end. So, hopefully, that's all right with you guys. Um, let's see if I can get my slideshow moving. Um, so I'm just on the struggle bus today. Hang on, crew. All right. So, um, as we kind of start talking on this little bit of time we have, we know that housing is a partnership between renters and housing providers and both have rights and responsibilities. Housing instability is not good for renters, and it's not good for housing providers. So, North Dakota Rent Help is intended to promote housing stability by shoring up the economic gap that's experienced by many lower-income households. So, um, who is eligible for North Dakota Rent Help? Well, um, they need to be a North Dakota renter household with a verifiable rental agreement for those renting. And we also have kind of a different process for households that might be experiencing homelessness, so that'll look a little different. We'll go into that. But, um, households earning up to eighty percent of the area median income may qualify if they have experienced a covered hardship since March 13th, 2020, when the pandemic began.
