The department ID or user ID must be entered and enabled on the copier or MFP, and the Mac user must be an admin. To get started, we want to go to system preferences printers & scanners. Select the print queue options and supplies. It's like options enable Department ID management. Select OK, go back to options and supplies, select utility, select open utility. Enable Department IDs, enter the code. And from here, you have a number of options. You can confirm the printing or do not use department IDs when printing black and white. So, there's a number of options basically if the users are restricting color. This is a quick way of not requiring a prompt. If you don't have this checked, it will not prompt to you. Those are a couple things to think about. Select save settings. It's like close and OK. If you open a Word document to test, select the print queue, select the print. There you go, the job will go through. You did not print this for an ID because we did not select it to prompt us for an ID. That concludes our video. Thank you.
