True" Welcome to the Missouri Department of Revenues tutorial for guest users. In this video, you will learn how to download and complete an Excel return template. To begin, go to mytax.mo.gov and scroll down until you see the business button. Select the business button and then choose "File Your Tax Return as a Guest". This option is available to all business accounts registered with the department and does not require separate registration. Please note that if you have new locations to add to your account, you must do so before downloading your return template. Scroll down until you see "File Vendors Use Tax Return Online" and select "Download My Return Template". You will be asked to enter your MOID and PIN. Once completed, click "Next". On the next screen, you will enter your return information, including your business name, account type, account ID, and form number. Your form type and period end date must also be selected. Amended returns include business location data but do not include previously reported financial data. After entering all the necessary information, select "Download". A pop-up will appear asking if you want to open or save the file. Choose your preferred option, and another pop-up will ask if you want to allow the file to open. Select "Allow". Once the Excel return template opens, remember to select "Enable Editing" to make any changes. The template has two tabs: the first one is the Location Data tab, where you input the gross receipts and adjustments for each registered business location. The taxable sales and amount of tax will be calculated automatically. Please note that negative amounts cannot be filed. After inputting all the necessary data, go to the Summary tab.
