True," all right. In this video, I'm going to show you how to rectify quite an interesting issue that I've had with this MacBook Air. Now, this can happen on any Apple Macintosh machine, whether it's any Intel Mac. This process will probably work, but let me just go ahead and open the machine up, and I'll show you the issue. As you can see, the machine is relatively fully functional. Well, of course, it is fully functional, but let me just go ahead and go into "About This Mac" real quick, go into more info, and you'll notice something quite strange here. As you can see, the first thing you might notice is that where it should say the model information of the MacBook Air right under here, it says nothing. And where it says serial number, instead of giving a serial number, it just says "system serial number." The same thing applies if you go to "About This Mac," just click here, it just says "system serial number." So, I'm going to show you how to rectify that issue. Now, basically, what we're going to be using to do that is an Apple internal tool called, I think it's like board serializer or something, or blank board serializer. I'm not exactly sure of the exact name, but I have it on my Mac Pro, and I'll show you what to do with it. But, this process should, in theory, write a new serial number to the board and therefore allow you to use your iMessage and iCloud like you would if a serial number was in place.
