True" welcome to the Ohio Professional Registry Instructor Application Tutorial. This tutorial was created to show the steps for completing an Ohio approved instructor application. Please note, before starting the instructor application, your profile must have a verified associate's degree or higher in the education section and employment with start and end dates and primary roles. Access to the instructor application is through your Ohio Professional Registry profile. Log into your profile and click the applications tab located in the blue bar across the middle of the page. Next, choose the green instructor button and then click the instructor application tab. When the application opens, you will see pre-populated information at the top, including your name and open verified education and employment. At the bottom of the screen, you will see a gold progress bar that keeps track as the fields are completed in the application. You will also see a save draft button and a gold submit application button. The submit application button is not enabled until it turns green. Now we'll scroll back up to the application fields. First, you will select the core knowledge and competency categories based on your qualifications, which are education and experience. Be sure to choose all areas that you may ever want to instruct on and that you are qualified to teach. So, we will choose child growth and development, child observation and assessment, learning environments and experiences, and professional development. Next, you will select the groups related to training content. These are the groups the content is written about. Here, we will choose infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Again, these groups are based on your education and experience. The last section of the application is the experiences in the field section.
