True" Music, so here's another quick tutorial for the weekend. This time, I'm going to talk about how to set the default app for files on your Mac. So, if you've ever installed [unknown app] and you run it for the first time, you get faced with something that looks just like this - asking you if you want to make it the default app for opening PDF files. The default is yes, and you may have simply just clicked yes or hit return, and now the default app for looking at PDFs is [unknown app]. Now, usually, Preview is the default app for all PDFs, and a lot of people don't realize what they've done once they've switched and how to get back. So, if I open up this PDF right here, you can see it opens up in [unknown app] now. So, you can actually open up any file in any app that supports it by ctrl-clicking or two-finger clicking on a trackpad on the file, and then choosing "Open with." And you'll see at the top, the default app. In this case, it is [unknown app], but I can also select all of these other apps for handling a PDF, and here, sure enough, is Preview. I could select that, and now I've opened up the file in Preview. Now, to avoid doing that each time, what I can do is ctrl-click again, and you see where it says "Open with." I'm gonna hold down the option key on my keyboard, and that will change to "Always open with." Now, I can select Preview, and that file will open in Preview, but it will also open in Preview the next time I double click the file to open it. The only problem is it only changes it for...
