True" Good afternoon, everyone. Welcome to our virtual Teacher Leader Summit presentation. Today, we'll be talking about the reevaluation data reviews and reevaluation and waiver processes. In sir, my name is Sarah Fletcher, and we have a lot of exciting updates to share with you today. As a note, this webinar is being recorded, so both the slides and the recording will be posted to our website. I gave a similar presentation in person last week in New Orleans, and the slides from that presentation are already posted, along with the guidance on how to use the rdr tab, as well as a sample printout for your teams to reference. This suite of resources should help prepare school systems and teams for the changes that will be rolled out this summer and in preparation for the 2021-2022 school year. Today, we'll start off with the history and rationale of why this tab was created, what it looks like, and how it prints out. What this means for school systems and their processes, along with a preview of the guidance we have released. Before we close out, we'll get started today with a brief history of how we got here. The way in which students with disabilities are supported in Louisiana is organized around four key strategies: 1. Early inaccurate identification 2. High-quality instruction 3. Specialized supports and related services for coordinated and effective transitions 4. Evaluations, including re-evaluations, providing key information to ensure the needs of students with disabilities are accurately identified and aligned with appropriate supports and services that lead to meaningful student engagement and high-quality instruction every day and allow students to successfully navigate key transition points.
