True. Hey guys and welcome back to the Veteran Coach. I'm doing a quick tutorial on how to request your in-service records, whether that's personnel records or medical records. I think it's super important to have your own copy, as we know people lose things. There was a fire in the 70s and all those records were lost. Things should be digital now, but you don't want your records to fall between the cracks, and it's always good to know what's in them. So, if you've never had your own copy, go ahead and get this requested. It only takes a little bit of time, and it's worth doing because then you'll know exactly what's in your records, whether that's personnel or medical. We want you to get copies of both. Now, it does take a long time to get these, but the time is going to pass anyway, so we might as well go ahead and get this request in. So, I'm actually going to share my screen as usual, so I'm going to flip this around and show you guys where to get started. So, you're going to start off at archives.gov/personnel-records-center/medical-records-veterans-access. Now, they have been a bit backlogged because of coronavirus, so just keep that in mind. It does take a little while to get these records. Alright, so this is actually where you will fill out your form. The form is right here. Click that, and you'll be able to print, sign, and mail your request into the National Personnel Record Center. Or, you can request online. So, we'll start requests online, and I'll walk you through it. When you get to this page, you're going to go to "Make a new request" and answer the following questions.
