True." Hey guys, so I've gotten a lot of questions lately about how to build Android 10, how to compile Android 10, and how to compile Android Q. Ultimately, it's exactly the same as compiling Android Pie or Oreo. But, I wanted to go ahead and make a video to show how it's done because there have been so many questions and so much confusion about it. So, what I have here is a virtual machine running Ubuntu 18.04, also known as Bionic Beaver. I have created many videos on how to install Ubuntu or set up Ubuntu in a virtual machine. If you need help with that, please check out those videos. Now, let me show you the step-by-step process of setting up and getting ready for the build. The first step is to establish the build environment. Once we have done that, we will download the code and start our build. I understand that what people are asking is how to compile Android 10, but I believe what you really want to know is how to upgrade your device from Pie to 10. We may not have time to cover that entirely, but we will head in that direction. Right now, I have brought up my Firefox web browser in the virtual machine. I have typed in the search bar to visit the AOSP (Android Open Source Project) page on establishing a build environment. Once I am on this page, we can start going through the process of setting up the build environment. The first page provides a lot of terminology and information.
